Five days, five ways. Cocktails and cascade

A crazy, candy pink cocktail dress plus two cascade pieces and I am ready to rock and roll. I adjusted the drop a couple of times for a different look. The rose gold glowed against the bright pink of the dress when worn long. It looked equally good mid sternum above the bodice of the dress. Either way it’s a pretty, interesting and versatile necklace for a special night out. And you can wear it to work too!

Five days, five ways. Fade to grey

What could be more casual than a grey marl sweat and jeans? This is a favourite low maintenance look of mine. The addition of the cascade collection pieces elevate it, but in essence it still works for going down the pub, lunch with friends and even the school run. Just don’t let any little hands grab at that necklace.

A summer floaty white dress practically begs for jewellery to sit with it. The frills and froth of this Day Birger et Mikkelson dress ramp up the prettiness of the cascade jewels. An easy summer look to take you from hot days to balmy nights.

A smart look with dressy silk faille trousers and a bib front shirt. The rose gold metallic shoe echoed the warmth in the necklace perfectly. Wear the shirt open to make the necklace the focal point or leave it long and have the necklace on top. If you have a large bust it’s best to position necklaces mid sternum.

It’s not unusual for me to be seen on the school run sporting a cocktail ring. I like my jewellery big, bold and beautiful whether it’s semi-precious, metal or resin. This glorious gobstopper of a ring from Fei Liu is a thing of wonder. The soft, delicate lines juxtapose perfectly with its ample size and I had a flurry of compliments. This sort of piece makes you want to gesticulate as much as possible to show it off. Just make sure you don’t connect with anyone’s face whilst you’re waving your hands about.

A package containing these two breathtaking pieces from Fei Liu’s ‘Cascade’ range landed at my door last week (http://www.feiliu.co.uk). Kindly loaned by Ruth of Heirloom London (http://www.heirloomlondon.co.uk/). I am eagerly planning outfits to wear them with and inventing occasions so I can show them off. Five outfits coming up – watch them sparkle…….
