I merrily stepped out in a pair of culottes last week and wore them with flats. My husband was not overly complimentary and I did feel a tad matronly. I attempted a second outing, this time adding a pair of mid height nude heels, and upping the feminine details with a bow to avoid the derogatory remarks.
