Black flower

A recent trip out for a Sunday afternoon tea. The day was unseasonally hot so I am sporting bare legs and boots. The boots are a nod to Autumn and are rapidly becoming a favourite. The top is a sweatshirt with cut out flower detail which you can just see. I almost broke into a run when I spotted this skirt at Century 21 in New York. I have to admit it made my heart skip a little. The fabric is a silk faille which has a divine irridescence, the colour suggests animal print, but it is in fact a flower. The shape is young, flirty and flattering too. The fact that they have a website is a dangerous addition to my weekly visits to The Outnet and Cocosa – it’s so easy to be seduced by a designer brand at a knockdown price. But always ask yourself this – do I really, really love it?

Top from Sandro (www.sandro-paris.com), bangle from Day Birger (www.day.dk/UK), skirt by Valentino Red at Century 21 (www.c21stores.com) and boots by Hudson (www.hudsonshoes.com)
