I am channeling a French fashion editor in this first look. Long have they embraced the skinny crop and sharp jacket, and with good reason. This shrunken tux jacket is from Vanessa Bruno’s athe line. She has gone a bit off the boil recently but looks to be back on track come AW13. I am showing two different ways to wear this, strict and smart or more relaxed. The silver cardigan was just right for an evening at our local gastro pub and the super slim jacket is more appropriate for the office or a smart bar. The silver combination is reminiscent of an Isabel Marant look from a few seasons ago, but it really is seasonless. The volume on top keeps the look insouciant and casual. In this, it seems, the French really do know best.
